New York Cares Day

On October 17, more than 8,000 volunteers will paint murals, brighten playgrounds, plant flowers, and organize libraries at 100 public schools throughout the city as part of the 18th annual New York Cares Day -- and you can be one of them!

Join us if you'd like to:
- reconnect with old friends for a fun and rewarding day
- meet fellow service-minded alums
- pick up a little good karma
- help support not only the city schools, but also hundreds of nonprofit agencies at a time of deep budget cuts and diminished charitable giving

To register, please visit our team website (address below).

We'll be working at PS 260K in Brooklyn, which is accessible by the L train or B6/B60 buses.  The event runs from 9:30am to 3pm.  More details about the day's schedule are available on the website.  There is a $20 tax-deductible donation/fee for participating, which covers the cost of supplies and helps New York Cares meet the needs of 450,000 disadvantaged New Yorkers every year. (Learn more about New York Cares at www.newyorkcares.org).  Space is limited and registration closes on Oct 9, so sign up soon.
