AFFILIATE EVENT: 25th Anniversary of the Alar Alarm and the Panic for Organic

A Celebration of the Natural Foods Industry.

On February 26, which is the 25th anniversary of the day 60 Minutes aired the Alar story that launched a "panic for organic," Joe Dobrow ‘85 and entrepreneurial legends Drew & Myra Goodman, founders of Earthbound Farm, will host an event at New York's only certified organic restaurant and bar, GustOrganics.  Joe's background information: Dobrow has spent more than 20 years in the natural foods industry, as the head of marketing for Whole Foods Market, Sprouts Farmers Market (the country's #2 natural foods retailer), and Balducci's, among others.  Natural Prophets, which is being published by Rodale on February 18, features behind-the-scenes stories of many of the great pioneers and brands that helped make the natural foods industry a leader in triple-bottom-line management. (Dobrow playfully says he traces some of his passion for good food to his search for alternatives to the Ratty of the early 1980s.)
