This will be a Zoom Meeting so we are all on camera!
Before and after the show, meet up with Brown friends virtually with the beverage of your choice -- perhaps one of our suggested "magical" drinks that change color when fresh lemon juice is added:

Magical Color-Changing Lemonade:
1 1/2 oz Simple Syrup*
4 oz Water (still or sparkling)
3 droppers of Butterfly Pea Flower Extract**
Mix above ingredients for a brilliant blue color, which will change to fuchsia when you add:
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice  (Add more water, syrup or lemon for taste.)

Magical Color-Changing Cocktail:
1 1/2 oz Gin, Vodka or Tequila Blanco (as you prefer)
1/2 oz Simple Syrup*
Optional add-in: 3/4 oz Cointreau, St. Germaine or Ginger Liqueur
2 droppers of Butterfly Pea Flower Extract**
Mix above ingredients for a brilliant blue color, which will change to fuchsia when you add:
3/4 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

*Simple Syrup (Make it yourself, or available at most grocery and liquors stores):
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 cup Water
Stir together in a small saucepan over medium heat until sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool.

**You can buy the color changing ingredient (Butterfly Pea Flower Extract) here.

andrew_evansAndrew Evans ’09 brings an innovative approach to magic. In 2014, he founded and built The Magic Patio—a magic speakeasy tucked in a hidden corner of San Francisco—which has quickly become the city’s most sought-after magic experience. His unique magic creations have been featured at The Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA, and on national television for Penn and Teller: Fool Us. Beginning in March of 2020, The Magic Patio temporarily paused all in-person events and has now shifted to hosting private, online performances. At Brown, Andrew studied engineering, theater, and creative non-fiction. He then moved to the Bay Area where he received an M.S. in Product Design from Stanford University and spent 5 years as a Design Lead at the global innovation firm IDEO. Currently, when he is not on stage at The Magic Patio, Andrew is the Magic and Illusions Lead for the San Francisco production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
