LIVE! at the Tenement Museum
1 ticket left - last chance!
A very special chance to “meet” residents of 97 Orchard Street and explore multiple floors and apartments in the Tenement Museum – more intimate than any regular daytime tour! The Brown Club will enjoy a private tour, and get to meet actors playing characters from real families living in the area from the turn of the century to the Depression. We'll talk to individuals who once lived at 97 Orchard Street and see how they made their homes in the tenement, how culture and community affected their lives, and how they might have made a comfortable space for themselves in difficult conditions.
The tour begins and ends at the Tenement Museum's new Sadie Samuelson Levy Immigrant Heritage Center, where we will enjoy a wine and cheese reception as our tours depart in groups of 10-15 people. Participants are welcome to socialize and snack in the visitor center before and/or after their tours. The groups will depart starting at 6:00.
Anyone interested in browsing the museum's eclectic gift and book shop should plan to arrive earlier, as it closes at 6:00 pm.
Note that tour participants will enter at 103 Orchard Street, just to the left of the museum's main entrance. Look for the "Group Entrance" sign there.
