Help a Brown Alumna's Nonprofit Create Medical Kits to Deliver Healthier Babies

One woman dies every 90 seconds due to pregnancy and child birth complications. Come help us do our part to save women and children's livesPlease join the Brown University Club in New York in supporting Saving Mothers, a local nonprofit dedicated to women’s health, education and empowerment. Working with the AYFA Foundation, it creates, ships, and delivers “clean birth kits” to women abroad. Studies show that these kits slash rates of fatal infection for both mothers and their children.

On July 18th, the Brown Club of New York will work with this important nonprofit group to create low-resource, birth and hemorrhage medical kits that will be used by doctors in Guatemala and Liberia. If possible, be sure to bring a baby hat, receiving blanket, Purell, or diapers to include in the kits.
