Brown University Orchestra Performs at Carnegie Hall

The Brown University Orchestra will open Manhattan Concert Productions’ 2015 concert season with a performance at world-renowned Carnegie Hall. Recognized as one the finest university orchestras in the US, The Brown University Orchestra has won seven ASCAP Awards for Adventurous Programming and recently given concert tours in China and Ireland. Pianist Jeffrey Biegel is featured in George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. The orchestra will also present the New York premieres of Marche pour une revolution 1789-1989 by Anthony Burgess and Wave by Paul Phillips, the orchestra’s Music Director and Conductor. The concert will also feature a performance by the all-professional Manhattan Chorale, a 32-voice choir based in New York City, which is led by conductor Craig Arnold and appears in concert throughout the United States.
