Suffs on Broadway - An Exciting Brown Club Event

Following a sold-out, extended run at The Public Theater, “Suffs" arrived on Broadway this spring — and not a moment too soon. This “musically rich and dazzlingly entertaining musical" (Variety), boldly explores the victories and failures of a struggle for equality that’s far from over.

Thursday, May 16 at 7pm
Music Box Theatre
239 W 45th St
between 7th & 8th Avenues

Purchase can only be made by Brown Club members** and is limited to a total of 4 orchestra tickets or 2 mezzanine tickets.

Tickets will only be distributed by a Brown Club representative at the theatre from 6:15pm to 6:45pm. Please do NOT go to the box office and please arrive no later than 6:45pm.

It’s 1913 and the women’s movement is heating up in America, anchored by the suffragists — “Suffs,” as they call themselves — and their relentless pursuit of the right to vote. Reaching across and against generational, racial, and class divides, these brilliant, flawed women entertain and inspire us with the story of their hard-won victory in an ongoing fight.

Brown alum and Tony Award winner Jill Furman '90 (Hamilton, In the Heights, Freestyle Love Supreme) is one of the lead producers. The producing team also includes Hillary Clinton and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai. Following the performance, Jill Furman will join us for post-show conversation and Q&A moderated by Brown Club board member Jeremy Handelman '77.
