Brown Community Gathering During Climate Week NYC
Discover ways to support, synergize, and collaborate across the Brown community

Climate Week NYC brings together more than 100,000 people across 1,000+ events to New York City. In the midst of it all, we want to create a space for those in the Brown community – working across climate, sustainability and the environment – to find one another.
Join the Brown Club in New York and the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society for an evening designed to make Climate Week more connected, visible, and impactful for Brown alumni, faculty, students, and friends.

Climate Week can be exhilarating and overwhelming. With so many people, ideas, and events converging, valuable connections may go unseen.
We’d like to change that.
Together with Kim Cobb and colleagues from IBES, we’ll bring together Brown alumni, faculty, students, and friends working across climate, sustainability, and the environment for a warm, cross-generational and cross-sector evening of conversation and connection.
We’ll create opportunities to meet people you might not otherwise encounter, hear about the work the Brown community is advancing across the climate and sustainability ecosystem, and see where we’re showing up throughout Climate Week.
And because we’re gathering early in the week, the connections don’t have to end when the evening does. Our hope is that people leave knowing a few more Brunonians to seek out, events to attend, conversations to continue, and ways to make the rest of Climate Week more meaningful.
Whether your work touches climate science, energy, finance, food, cities, policy, conservation, entrepreneurship, environmental justice, communications, technology, or another part of the sustainability ecosystem, we’d love to have you join us.
Will you be hosting an event at Climate Week NYC 2026?
Feel free to view and submit events for a growing map to uplift Brown alums, faculty, and students here.
P.S. This event will be capped to 60 people so if you intend to come, grab your ticket today :)
