Who's Getting In?: A Seminar with Brown's Dean of Admissions, James Miller '73

Back by popular demand! The past few years have been among the most competitive ever for selective college admissions, and the pattern is expected to continue for the forseeable future.

This increasing level of excitement and frenzy has been compounded by the near-collapse of the global financial system. How these factors impact today's high schoolers is the topic of our seminar with Dean of Admission James Miller '73.

Please note that this is NOT a college information session, but is instead an interactive seminar designed specifically to address many of the recent trends in college admissions.

During the seminar, Dean Miller will address such items as racial and gender balance, the changing demographics of college classes, the role of legacies and alumni volunteers, and the impact that changes in financial aid have on recipients and non-recipients alike.

Dean Miller brings more than 20 years of experience in college admissions, not just at Brown but at other highly selective institutions. This is a rare opportunity to get answers to your questions from one of the most respected names in college admissions.

This event is open to alumni, family, and friends. Parents are encouraged to bring their children and attend as a family. Space is extremely limited!

Refreshments will be served.

Cost: $60 per family
