Sunday Visit with Artist Studios and Van Leuween Ice Cream!

Amy Finkbeiner will present her work along with video artist Anne Spurgeon.

Bring your walking shoes and your curiosity to explore scenic, leafy & fun Greenpoint and some fantastic art! Join us for a perfect Sunday stroll to check-out a hotbed for emerging artists and some of New York City’s finest artisanal ice cream, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream (try the devastingly good Torino-specialty gianduja or home-made mint).

Meet us at Van Leeuwen’s Ice Cream Parlour (http://www.vanleeuwenicecream.com/) at 3pm on Sunday (one block away from the "Nassau" Street stop on the "G" or 10 mins walk north on "Bedford Street" stop on the "L").

With yummy scoops of ice cream dreams in hand, we will walk about 10 minutes to visit the studio of two emerging artists, Amy Finkbeiner (who has been influenced by medieval women mystics, Kim Gordon and feminist pioneers and is actively creating her own cult of worship) and video artist Anne Spurgeon (imagine a Jane Fonda-inspired workout video, accessorized with a leotard, a cigarette and bottle of beer).

We will be doing this rain or shine; look forward to seeing everyone!
